The Reality of the Resurrection

The resurrection is power for everyday life. When Jesus showed up and confronted Thomas, He really wanted Thomas to throw away his doubts and just believe.

No matter how hopeless your situation is, it is no match for the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Life is still a very real possibility for you, if you believe.

1. The reality of the resurrection strengthened the disciples’ resolve. The disciples’ resolve was strengthened in a way that transformed their lives forever.

2. The reality of the resurrection strengthened the disciples’ relationship with Him. While Jesus walked on earth, He was relational. He was Emmanuel (“God with us”).

3. The reality of the resurrection is found in restored lives.

We are to love people in the same manner we love Jesus. If you don’t love people, you don’t love Jesus!

It matters how we treat the resurrection. It either entertains us or propels us forward.
