The God I Never Knew (2)
Today’s message is about the person of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:26-28
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Ephesians 4:25-32
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

If you don’t see Him as a Person, then you will never develop a personal relationship with Him.

1.He Has a Mind (John 16:13)
A.The Holy Spirit knows everything
B.You have someone living inside of you that knows everything about everything and He has committed Himself to being your teacher!

2.He has a Will (Acts 16:6)

If you would like to know God’s will for your life; get to know God!

3.He Has Emotions (Ephesians 4:30)
A.When a believer sins, it grieves (makes Him sad) the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit loves you and when you sin, it’s going to hurt you and that grieves Him.
B.When the Holy Spirit’s speaking to us about a sin in our life, we don’t want to hear Him, but a short time later, we have a need and we want Him to come and speak to us and guide us.

Bondage to sin is a road. Freedom from sin is a road. You have to take the first step to be free from your bondage.
