Jesus never promised us a lot of things, but what he did promise us was if you are a faithful follower of Christ, if you are set apart, if you are different, Jesus promised us that the world would hate us and the world would persecute us.
I. DON’T BE SHOCKED WHEN YOU ARE PERSECUTED.
II. IF YOU’RE NOT BEING PERSECUTED, YOU’RE NOT MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR CHRIST.
III. THE PURSUIT OF COMFORT OVER LIVING BOLDLY FOR CHRIST WILL RESULT IN AN EMPTY LIFE.
IV. LIVING BOLDLY FOR CHRIST WILL RESULT IN A FULFILLED LIFE LIVING CLOSER TO CHRIST.
1 Peter 4:19
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.
I Peter 5:11
So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen
