The Bible is full of great stories about friendships, none more important than the friendship God wants with each of us. As the great Proverb states in Scripture referring to God: ‘… there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.’

When we share that special friendship with God, we are a better friend with others in our lives. Our current REVIVE Kids Sunday series, simply but adequately called Friends, will teach both our kids classes (3-6 year olds/7-10 year olds) what true friendship is all about, according to amazing examples from the Bible.

This four-week series, which takes a break on Feb. 14 for a special Valetine’s Day lesson, concludes on Feb. 28 when the best example of a friend is spotlighted in the form of Jesus.

We hope your child(ren) will join us each Sunday in this series as we explore one of the most important topics of our kids’ lives: Friends.

True friends will never turn on you. They will stay faithful, no matter what it costs. David and Jonathan are the greatest example of friends. They would not let anything come between their friendship.

Best friends are bold enough to share the good news of Jesus with their friends. Like Philip, who brought his best friend, Nathaniel, to Jesus, best friends are not afraid to introduce everyone they know to Jesus.

Feb. 21 (Special Val’s Day lesson on Feb. 14): THREE AMIGOS
When their faith was tested, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were able to stand strong because they had each other. God wants us to have friends who will strengthen us so we can stand strong and do more to further his kingdom.

also gives us eternMary, Martha, and Lazarus had a rare privilege: they had Jesus as a best friend. They knew firsthand what a good friend Jesus is – one who always answers, always comforts and also gives us eternal life.

Memorize each week to earn points for your class. Both REVIVE Kids classes compete against each other on a monthly basis with points earned among a broad scale of items.
