IT’S SUMMER TIME @ REVIVE KIDS!

Click HERE for our highlight video to get a taste of the FUN GAMES that are played each Sunday during the summer.

We take a break from our usual Sunday classroom settings and keep all of our 3-10 year olds together the whole time during the months of July and August.

REVIVE Kids go from singing and dancing about Jesus in Kids Praise to competing outside (as long as there is no rain!) in an array of thrilling games, some that include water balloons!

Once the kids return inside to the Activities Center, they will have a light snack and then take in the Bible-based lesson for the week via skits, puppet shows and/or other animated means.

‘Pool Party’ is the series theme for July’s lessons.

‘Summer Games’ (running in sync with the actual Summer Olympics) is the series theme for August’s lessons.

Every kid is assigned to either the Team Blue Jays or Team Green Nikes, squaring off in exciting fashion each Sunday in July and August to collect as many team points as possible. The winning team will have a celebration party the final Sunday in August and each member will receive grand prizes. Consolation prizes will go to the other team members.

Teams Points are based on:

  • Attendance (10,000 points for each kid present)
  • Bringing Visitors (20,000 points for each first-time guest present)
  • Memory Verse (15,000 points for each kid that can recite a portion or all of memory verse, depending on age. The memory verse is the same for each Sunday of a given month.)
  • Offering (25,000 to the team that collects the most offering)
  • Games (10,000 points to the team that wins each game)
  • Sportsmanship (25,000 to the team with the Most Valuable Participant that listened well and had a great attitude)

July Series: POOL PARTY

Memory Verse for the month

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of
refreshing may come from the Lord” – Acts 3:19 (NIV)

(Note: Our 3-5 yr olds just need to recite: “Repent, then, and turn to God…” to get Memory Verse points)

July 3: FLOATIES

Some of us wear floaties in the pool in order to feel safe and secure. Kids will learn that they can always trust that Jesus is watching out for them.

July 10: MARCO POLO

In Marco Polo, the person who’s “it” tries to find and tag the other people in the pool. Kids will learn that no matter who we are, or what we’ve done, Jesus can find us and save us.

July 17: WATER SLIDE

Take a wet and wild ride down the water slide into the pool. Kids will learn that when we put our faith in Jesus, some wild things can happen.

July 24: DIVING BOARD

Some people take forever getting into to pool one inch at a time, while others dive right in. Kids will learn that when we dive in with Jesus, he gives our lives joy and purpose.

July 31: CANNONBALL

The best way to make a splash is with a canonball. When we give our hearts to Jesus he surrounds us and fills us with his love. Kids will learn that the best way to “make a splash” for Jesus is to ask Jesus to come into their hearts.

August Series: SUMMER GAMES

Memory Verse for the month

“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a
crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”  – 1 Corinthians 9:25 (NIV)

(Note: Our 3-5 yr olds just need to recite: “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training…” to get Memory Verse points)

Aug. 7: FASTER

Elijah was one man against 450 prophets of Baal. But Elijah knew that his God would be fast to bring him help.

Aug. 14: HIGHER

Joseph had spent many long years in an Egyptian prison. But Joseph knew that God had a higher purpose for his life and would deliver him from his hardship.

Aug. 21: STRONGER

David went out to face Goliath, who was bigger, well-armed, and trained to fight. But David knew that the God who fought for him was stronger than the giant.

Aug. 28: CELEBRATION PARTY FOR WINNING TEAM/BACK TO SCHOOL LESSON
