Principles of Multiplication

Luke 9:12-17 NIV

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.” He replied, “You give them something to eat.” They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

Would it be alright with you if God multiplied your resources?

The miracle did not happen in the Master’s hands. It happened in the disciples hands!

Two Principles of Multiplication:

1. It Has to Be Blessed Before It Can Multiply

Your finances will only be blessed if you bring the complete tithe to God before you spend any of your income on anything else! It’s literally a waste of time to ask God for His blessings on you and your family if you are not obeying what He asked you to do and that is tithe the full 10% of your income to the local church you are attending.

 2. It Has To Be Given Away

The first principle has to do with the tithe. You have to bring the first of what you make to God before He can bless what you have left over to pay your bills. And when God blesses what you have left, then you can give over and above the tithe.

What will you determine that you are going to give?
