Twisted The Root of All Evil
The Bible is full of wisdom. People love to quote their favorite verses to encourage and inspire each other—but sometimes, those verses get taken out of context. What happens when the most important message of all gets Twisted?
In this four-week message series starting this Sunday, we will cover four of the most misused verses in the Bible. Learn the context of the verses, what they really mean, and how to find the richness God actually meant to show us through them. Verses in this series include “for I know the plans I have for you…” in Jeremiah 29:11, “ask anything in my name” in John 14:14, and others.

Text: 1 Timothy 6:10

Pastor Tom Cogle
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
1 Timothy 6:10
HOW DO YOU TRANSLATE THE BIBLE?
1.Understand the context.
2.Interpret scriptures with other scriptures.
3.Apply what you learn.
How much money do you need to be happy?
Just a little bit more!
The richest are not those who have the most, but those who need the least.
Discontentment can make a rich person poor, and contentment can make a poor person rich.
We are wealthy compared to most of the world.
Money promises what only God can provide.
When we really think we need more money to be happy, satisfied or secure, we are deceived and under the power of and influence of money.
When you don’t have a lot of Jesus, money looks really good. When you have more of Jesus, then you can be content with what you have, because godliness with contentment is great gain.
Breaking the power of money:
•Tithing
•Give to missions
•Give to needs
