Matthew 1:23.
"The virgin will conceive a child! "She'll give birth to a son, "they will call Him Immanuel, which means, God is with us."
The wilderness is different from the valley, because time in the wilderness usually lasts a lot longer.
Throughout the Bible, wilderness stories often follow mountaintop experiences.
YOUR DEEPEST NEED, AS MUCH AS IT HURTS, BECOMES A GIFT, WHEN IT DRIVES YOU TO DEPEND ON GOD.
You're not in need of physical rest, as much as you are in need of spiritual replenishment.
Sometimes our need is so great we can’t see beyond our need. That is when God comes and meets us in the middle of our need.
God doesn’t need to “shout” to us because He is right there with us! He whispers to us His truth. God doesn't shout to get your attention, He whispers to draw you close.
If you'll stop for a moment from the business, from the rush of this world, and take some quiet time to get alone with God and His Word, He will meet you there.
I’d rather be in the wilderness with God than on the mountain without Him.
