1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1.OUR EARTHLY BODIES ARE TEMPORARY.
ONE DAY WE WILL HAVE HEAVENLY BODIES.
Through salvation, we get the promise of eternal life,
but we still live in the reality of the fall with all of its consequences.
2.THE RESURRECTED BODY OF JESUS FORESHADOWS WHAT OUR HEAVENLY BODIES WILL BE LIKE.
Our new bodies will be natural, supernatural, & supranatural.
3.THE BIBLE GIVES CLEAR DETAILS ABOUT HOW AND WHEN WE GET OUR NEW BODIES.
At the Rapture, the believer’s body reunites with his soul and spirit.
