THE KINGDOM OF “WE”
The FOUNDATION was established by the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
John 1:1-4
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.
John 16:7 AMP
But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
Genesis 1:27
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
We were created to be INTERCONNECTED.
Our strength and success are DEPENDENT upon our relationship to others.
Matthew 12:25
Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
THE KINGDOM OF “ME”
The foundation was established by LUCIFER.
Isaiah 14:12-15
How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world. 13 For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. 14 I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.’ 15 Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths.
It exalts ME above all else.
Its purpose is DESTRUCTION.
THE POWER OF WE:
“WE” sees beyond OURSELVES.
1 Corinthians 12:12-20
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. 14 Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15 If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything?
18 But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it.19 How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20 Yes, there are many parts, but only one body.
“WE” values the bond of LOVE.
Colossians 2:2 AMP
[For my hope is] that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in [unselfish] love. . .
John 17:21-23
I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. 22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
“WE” ENABLES us to accomplish more.
Philippians 2:2-5
Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. 3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. 5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
“WE” increases our IMPACT on the world.
#1 REASON: Everyone on earth isn’t saved, and Jesus hasn’t returned because the body of Christ is divided in their mission and their purpose.
Acts 4:32
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.
Only a UNITED church can heal a divided land.
The greater our UNITY the louder our voice in the world.
Matthew 18:18-20
“I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. 19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
