We all have dreams, but sometimes the journey to reaching them feels full of challenges. In the Dream to Destiny series, Pastor Tom Cogle explores the Old Testament story of Joseph, a man who had a God-given dream but didn’t fulfill his destiny until 13 years later. In that time God took Joseph through the 10 character-building tests we all must face to reach our destinies. Along the way we’ll discover why we can trust our dreams to the One who gave them to us. Prophetic means to speak under divine inspiration.
When God gives us a prophetic word, it is submitted, tested, and held by His Word.
Psalm 105:17-19 NKJV
17 He sent a man before them—Joseph—who was sold as a slave.
18 They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons.
19 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him.
Here’s how you passed the prophetic test:
1. I SUBMIT MY WORD
I Corinthians 13:9 NKJV
For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
2. I TEST MY WORD
I Corinthians 14:29 NKJV
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
3. I HOLD ON TO MY WORD
Philippians 3:12 NKJV
Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may layhold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laidhold of me.
