Most people think the Ten Commandments are a list of rules / Do’s & Don’ts. But actually, the Ten Commandments are principles for living. Those principles enhance our relationships with God and other people.
Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder.”
1. HATE PRECEDES MURDER
Someone murders another because they hated him.
2. ANGER PRECEDES HATE
Unresolved anger cause one to explode.
3. AN OFFENSE PRECEDES ANGER
Allowing our feelings to be hurt leads to anger.
4. UNFULFILLED EXPECTATIONS PRECEDE OFFENSES
Satan will set a snare for you to be offended.
5. FORGIVENESS PRECEDES LOVE
Hate leads to murder; but forgiveness leads to love.
Matthew 10:8 Freely you have received, freely give.
