Finding Relationship Through God’s Top Ten: Trust
Most people think The Ten Commandments are a list of rules / Do’s & Don’ts. But actually, the Ten Commandments are principles for living. Those principles enhance our relationships with God and other people.
==========
Exodus 20:15
“You shall not steal.
Ephesians 4:25-28
Therefore, putting away lying, “ Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
Exodus 16:16-17
This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’ ” Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less.
Exodus 16:22, Exodus 16:25-28
And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the LORD; today you will not find it in the field. Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.” Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And the LORD said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?
Psalms 24:1
The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Ephesians 4:28
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
Joshua 6:19
But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are consecrated to the LORD; they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.”
Joshua 7:11
Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.
Luke 19:8
Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

Most people think the Ten Commandments are a list of rules / Do’s & Don’ts. But actually, the Ten Commandments are principles for living. Those principles enhance our relationships with God and other people.
Exodus 20:15 — “You shall not steal.”
1. STOP STEALING
Stealing is a bold statement to God that you don’t trust Him.
2. START WORKING
God blesses hard work.
Work brings rewards and joy.
3. GET GIVING
The biggest theft that is going on in the church is taking what belongs to God.
God is trying to build this principle of trust.
If you feel you have to provide for yourself, and you won’t do it God’s way, you won’t trust Him. You are going to have to provide for yourself the rest of your life!
It is so much better living in the provision God has for you.
