It’s Not What You Believe, It’s Who You Believe In
I. What vs. Whom (1 Timothy 1:9-14)
You don’t have to completely understand God in order to completely trust Him with your life.
II. Confidence vs. Certainty
It is possible for you to have confidence in your relationship with Jesus even if you don’t have certainty in your understanding of Him.
III. Don’t do Christianity without Jesus (Luke 6:47-49)
We don’t believe in something we know. I’m trusting in Someone I know.
IV. Get to the Bottom
The gospel is about a person who went down to the bottom of your sin and found you and brought you to the surface and set your feet on solid rock.
The less you understand, the more you know you need Him. The more you know you need Him, the more faithful He will show Himself on your behalf.
It’s OK not to know everything you believe You can still follow Christ with full faith.
