Luke 14: 28-30
“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’”

Luke 16:1-13 Parable of the Shrewd Manager

MAKING CHANGE

1. We must choose our MASTER.
Luke 16:13 (NLT)
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”

Proverbs 22:7 (NLT)
Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.

2. SUCCESS with less is the key to more.

Luke 16:10-11 (NLT)
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?

Ecclesiastes 4:6 (AMP)
One hand full of rest and patience is better than two fists full of labor and chasing after the wind.

3. We need new VISION!

4. Develop a UNIFIED family business plan.

1 Corinthians 1:10 (NLT)
I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Luke 11:17 (NLT)
He knew their thoughts, so he said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”

Habakkuk 2:2 (NIV)
Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
•It must be specific, measurable, and WRITTEN.

FAMILY BUSINESS PLAN

1. Define our MISSION.
•My mission is to daily live, love, give and serve like Jesus.
2 .Develop SHORT term goals.
3. Develop LONG term goals.
4. Radically reduce EXPENSES and clutter.
5. Plan for DOWN times. Learn how to save.
6. Tap into the power of generosity and the law of sowing and reaping.

f2 Corinthians 9:6-7 [The Passion Bible]
Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest. 7 Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God loves hilarious generosity!

5. Write and live by a monthly CASH FLOW plan.

Proverbs 21:5 (NIV)The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.

a. “If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time.” Zig Ziglar
b. Spend every dollar on PAPER before the month begins.
c. Either we MANAGE our money or the lack of money will manage us.
d. “A budget is simply telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” John Maxwell
