In the Bible, Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd willing to lay down His life for us, His sheep.
THE GOOD SHEPHERD PROTECTS US! HOW?
THE GOOD SHEPHERD IS WITH US IN THE BATTLE.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for (BECAUSE) You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
The believer no longer has a fear of death! When the enemy attacks us The Good Shepherd is going to show up and protect us.
THE GOOD SHEPHERD WILL BLESS US IN THE BATTLE.
Psalm 23:5aYou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
THE GOOD SHEPHERD REFRESHES US IN THE BATTLE.
Psalm 23:5b
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
