THIS SUNDAY AT CGAG: “A Way of Escape” When we say the word temptation, a thousand different thoughts can come into your mind depending upon where you are in life and what’s going on in your life at the moment. But Paul said there’s really no new temptations. None of us, none of our youth, none of our kids are dealing with any temptation that somebody else hasn’t already deal with. And Paul said there is a way of escape from every temptation!

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
There’s nothing that you’re fighting against that somebody else didn’t already fight against.
Satan just did not make up a temptation just for you.It’s the same temptations that so many others have faced.
The temptations you are facing today are the same old temptations you faced at 16 & 26.
What are we trying to escape?What is it that makes us feel trapped?
Sometimes the place you go to, to escape, will become the place where you are enslaved in.
When I go outside of God to meet a God given need, it works! That’s the problem…it works! Even the Bible says it works: “there is pleasure in sin.”
Jesus came to the wilderness for rematch!
It’s the same 3 temptations:
•the lust of the flesh
•the lust of the eyes
•the pride of life
God has already made a way of escape for you!
