You’re Not Alone in the Struggle

19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.”  Mark 4:35 NIV

Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat…. Mark 4:36a NIV

36b … There were also other boats with him.

37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.  Mark 4:36b-37 NIV

God sometimes takes us into storms not to discipline us, but to disciple us.

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”  Mark 4:38 NIV

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  Mark 4:39 NIV

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”  Mark 4:40 NIV

They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”  Mark 4:41 NIV

19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Matthew 28:18 NIV

When you place your faith in Jesus, you realize that the one who calmed the seas can still calm the seas in your soul.

He is with you, even to the end of the age.

He Promises:  “You’re Not Alone in the Struggle.”
