Back to Basics – God’s Word – The Breath of Life

We need to recognize the effects prayer can have on our lives and our world. There is a lot of unrest and anxiety in our nation today, but prayer changes situations on a personal and national scale. It is our responsibility as believers to pray for the future, not to become anxious about it. Laying our cares at Jesus’ feet in prayer helps us feel less anxious and lifts our burdens.

God inspired all Scripture. And just like we cannot live by only breathing on the weekends, neither can we spiritually thrive by receiving the Word only on the weekends. We must breathe deeply and inhale the Word of God every day.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

1. THE BREATH OF GOD BRINGS UNDERSTANDING.
When we read the Bible, God gives us understanding.

2. THE BREATH OF GOD BRINGS ORDER.
As a result of God’s breath, chaos is brought to order.

3. THE BREATH OF GOD BRINGS STRENGTH.
We experience the power of God in our lives when we speak His Word.

4. THE BREATH OF GOD BRINGS LIFE.
The source of life for us each day is the Word of God.
