Depression, anxiety, and loneliness, all increase during the Christmas season. How ironic this is because the message of the angels to the shepherds 2000 years ago who were keeping watch over their flocks by night was simply,

“We bring you good tidings of great joy!”

1. The highest message came initially to the lowest of people.

Jesus always went out of His way to minister to the people who were the outcast of society.

2. The message of the first Christmas was a message of joy!

Not a little joy, not some joy, but great joy!

3. Fear robs us of the joy of Christmas.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

4. We can have joy this Christmas because we have a Savior Christ the Lord.

What is robbing you of your joy this Christmas season? The good news for you is a Savior has been born and He is Christ the Lord!
