Most of us have seen the movie: A Christmas Story in which in the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie attempts to convince his parents, his teacher and Santa that a Red Ryder BB gun really is the perfect Christmas gift. In this three-part message series entitled “The Real Christmas Story”, Pastor Tom Cogle helps us understand what it means to have God’s favor and how to walk in the grace that comes along with it.

“Has anyone seen any hope or future for us?”
WE NEED SOME CHRISTMAS THIS CHRISTMAS!
Tis the season for looking. The very first Christmas was marked by lookers as well. But no one looked with the intensity that Simeon looked with.
Everyday, Simeon thought, “PERHAPS TODAY” will be the day I will see the Christ.
Luke 2:28-31 NCV
28 Simeon took the baby in his arms and thanked God:
29 “Now, Lord, you can let me, your servant, die in peace as you said.
30 With my own eyes I have seen your salvation,
31 which you prepared before all people.
What began in that moment when Simeon spoke those words
“Now Lord,” begin the inauguration of the LAST DAYS.
The first coming has happened.
The second coming is on the schedule.
For the child of God, for the Christian, there is no reason to fear the future.
We need people with their eyes looking toward heaven and saying
PERHAPS TODAY.
