There are some things in life that are not worth waiting for… and yet there are other things in life that are worth waiting for.
Waiting for Christmas?

There are some things in life that are not worth waiting for
and yet there are other things in life that are worth waiting for.
Simeon and Anna were two people who were waiting for Christmas, waiting for the Messiah.
And God had promised Simeon that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. God rewarded his faithfulness.
Two things that can keep God from answering our prayers and listening to us:
1. Unconfessed sin
2. Not eagerly waiting to hear from him
Simeon was waiting for Jesus to come the first time, but the good news is Jesus is coming back a second time.
The other person in that story today who was waiting for Christmas was Anna. She practiced the four steps to spiritual growth:
1. She studied God’s word and worshipped.
2. She prayed.
3. She went to church (or temple).
4. She shared Jesus with others.
Waiting for Christmas?
God has given us a gift already – It’s the gift of eternal life!
