PASSOVER TO PENTECOST – The Benefits of the Resurrection

The weeks between Passover and Pentecost seem less familiar than the first few days after Jesus’ death. We know that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and three days later rose from the dead. But what about after that? What about the times Jesus appeared to His disciples during His 40 days on earth and the coming of the Holy Spirit? What do these days mean for Christ-followers today? This is a new series that will walk us through the Scriptures and 50 days that changed the world. After Jesus resurrection He was on the earth for 40 days. Then the disciples were in the upper room fasting and praying and seeking God for 10 days. And then Pentecost came! Sunday June the 5th is Pentecost Sunday and so this whole series of messages is guiding us toward Pentecost Sunday and we’re going to believe God for a mighty outpouring of his Holy Spirit.

The Benefits of the Resurrection:

1. HE EXPLAINS

If you are a disciple. If you believe in Jesus, He will explain the Bible to you. You just have to know Him.

2. HE OPENS

If you are a disciple, Jesus will open your mind so you can understand the Bible.

If you are not a disciple, the god of this world has blinded you so you cannot understand the Bible.

3. HE BLESSES

Blessed means: “Things just work out.”

You can stop the flow of God’s blessings by becoming more interested in the blessing than the blesser.

This Easter we celebrate the benefits of the Resurrection!
